is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full-time employment providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. It consists of local U3As all over the UK and are run entirely by volunteers.
Local U3As draw upon the knowledge, experience and skills of their own members to organise and provide interest groups for their membership. The emphasis is on learning for pleasure and all members are encouraged to take an active part, whether attending a group or leading a group themselves. No qualifications are needed to join and there are no assessments or qualifications to be gained.
If you are retired, why not come along and try us out. If your special interest is not listed, let us know and we will see if we can get a group going or why not come along and start a new group and pass your knowledge on to others.
